This is a huge place where they can take a bath, talk with each other, go to the library, play sport, eat... The Romans often have slaves to help their families. The slaves are black people. The slaves can be gladiators, which means they are armed combatants and confront other gladiators, wild animals or condemned criminals. But gladiators can be volunteers, or schooled under harsh conditions.
